that looks more like a 30"...i wouldn't put a 35" on top of a rover either..raises your center of gravity

I used to drive CJ's and have owned several 3/4 ton 4x4's for farming. Disco's can be a pain in the neck when it comes to nagging problems and repairs, but stock there is nothing like a Rover. Before I got my Disco I had a Wrangler Rubicon and I wanted to scale back a little bit but still wanted to have a dedicated 4x4. I'm running AT's on a stock Disco and I can do everything I did in my Rubicon. Plus I don't make a homemade "FOR SALE" sign every time I'm sitting in parking lot traffic in the Alabama summer heat.

I'm sure someone like Disco Mike could pick out the perfect truck, but as far as my two cents, look for all the normal problems that you read about on here, make sure you aren't getting scammed by the seller, (Does the check engine light come on as you turn the ignition?) and realize you're going to be doing some maintenance on these vehicles that you might never do on any other make or model.

I've fixed window motors, replaced the coolant reservoir, coolant return lines (so very brittle), drain plugs, etc. but it is more than worth it me when folks joke about four wheeling with heated seats and later I'm the one pulling them out of the mud or that's it's my ride we take from the hunting camp to town.

The great thing about Rovers is that they don't need as big of a tire as some other off-road vehicles. 35" tires in my opinion are a waste of money, there are other mods that you can do for the same price and get more out of your truck.
