Can I install an '04 SLABS unit to my '02 without CDL?

I plugged in the new slabs unit, and tested it with the Lynx. Cleared 2 historical codes.
It's coil programmed. I also verified that the lynx can reprogram to air and vice-versa. Fired the car up, seems to work fine.

I am going through this myself right now. Going from air to coils there is probably only that one setting to change but going from coils to air (my 2004 SLABS came from a coil truck; I have air springs) you also have to calibrate each side and store a ride-height setting for each one. That's why I'm looking to borrow a Lynx or a Nanocom -- the Hawkeye doesn't do the last bit.

air or coil, that's it. No need to complicate things.

Not true in all cases. For what Jeff wants, setting to coil is all that's needed.
If setting to air and it has never been set to air before, the ride height needs to be calibrated. Otherwise you end up with HDC and spring errors on the dashboard and you can't change the ride height.
