Exactly what settings are these besides SLS/coil?

I plugged in the new slabs unit, and tested it with the Lynx. Cleared 2 historical codes.

It's coil programmed. I also verified that the lynx can reprogram to air and vice-versa. Fired the car up, seems to work fine.

I am going through this myself right now. Going from air to coils there is probably only that one setting to change but going from coils to air (my 2004 SLABS came from a coil truck; I have air springs) you also have to calibrate each side and store a ride-height setting for each one. That's why I'm looking to borrow a Lynx or a Nanocom -- the Hawkeye doesn't do the last bit.

Air vs. coils is the only setting I know of that can be changed in the SLABS. That's why I said he should go ahead and plug it in because checking that setting is all Jeff wanted to do.

I've had an 04 SLABS unit in my 99 D2 for over a year now. Once I removed the SLS, installed the OME springs I was able to grab an 04 SLABS for 20.00 at a pick n pull. I've got an 04 CDL to install into the 99 if I can just find the time.

air or coil, that's it. No need to complicate things.

I did notice when I tried the '04 SLABS in my truck that the brakes acted very differently, and I could hear a lot of activity from the shuttle valve block that I had never heard before. I don't know if there are settings related to the brakes but there's certainly different programming.

Not true in all cases. For what Jeff wants, setting to coil is all that's needed.
If setting to air and it has never been set to air before, the ride height needs to be calibrated. Otherwise you end up with HDC and spring errors on the dashboard and you can't change the ride height.
