It locks and unlocks fine, but neither the inside or outside door pull will open the door. My guess is that a lever either broke or popped off.

I haven't tried any more to get it open, any ideas or inside secrets to getting it open are well appreciated.

 

On the rear handle above the license plate is a land rover emblem. pop it off and spray some WD-40 in there. work the handle a few times and PRESTO - working door. 30 second fix.

 

if you only have to work it for 30 seconds consider yourself lucky. i use a silocne lubricant rather than wd-40.

I sprayed my motorcycle chain oil on the handle hinges and the rod that goes into the tailgate, I worked it for a good 15 min or so and it finally opened. Now it opens every once in a while but getting better.
