Default CDL Install Question

So I've finally got my Ashcroft CDL bolted in (what a monumental PITA that was), but I can get the center console middle plate to rivet back to the main body of the console. The biggest rivets I've got are 3/16", does anyone know how large are needed to get the 2 pieces back together? Or are there any other tricks I should be trying? Thanks

I bought bolts with pointed tips that worked perfectly. As I recall, the threaded part was ~1/4", the head was 1/2", and they were 1/2" long. I used a cordless drill with a socket bit to drive them in.

It was easily the easiest part of the job.

I might be wrong about my measurements, so measure the holes before you hit the hardware store.

But it did work pretty well. Also - I initially left out the inner CDL shifter boot, and I left the foam out. I was amazed how much louder the road noise was. I managed to stuff the inner boot down thru the console, which helped a lot. Next time I have the console out, I'm gonna cut the foam to accommodate the CDL shifter and put it in there too, though it may require removing the inner boot. I can't remember, but I think the inner boot was a D1 thing. I think the D2 just had the foam. I plan to cut the foam in an inverted pyramid shape to allow the shifter to move while blocking as much noise as possible.

you can also get some thing call rivet nuts, you install the rivet nut into the floor pan with a rivet gun then use machine screw into the rivet nuts. that way there is nothing sharp sticking threw the floor to chew you hand up.

While on this topic, I have had mine installed for a while, but not used much. I found the notes on the wire to cut to allow the traction control to stay on with the CDL for the earlier model D2s when you stop and re-start the D2 without having to shift out of CDL before turning the vehicle off and then shifting into CDL again once the vehicle is started. The notes reference 3 ECU units under the glove box on the passenger side. These notes appear to be from the UK, so I wanted to confirm that the 3 ECUs referenced, and therefore the general location of the wire in question to cut or add a switched to is located on the passenger side under the glove box in the NAS models as well. Can someone confirm this?
