its a mechanical lever not a cable linkage like the Ashcroft.

That place is in the UK right? How long does it take for shipping and how much? If it's going to cost a lot to ship or take a long time to get here you always have the option of Lucky8. Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...
They are expensive but they are in the US so that should cut shipping time and cost at least in half. There is always the option of getting a used D1 or 04' D2 shifter from a salvage yard, E-bay, craigslist, ect....

You can buy a used D1 CDL linkage assembly for around $150 or you can but an 04 cable style for around $329 from, Discovery Transfer Case Shifters
Depending on which you buy, you can get help on installing the cable type from Josh's Thread at the top of this section.
Let us now how it goes, Oh also, what year id your truck?

What is the "year ID" ?

Well right now I'm going to look around to see if there are any salvage yards with a disco's in stock... i rarely ever see them so wish me luck

I couldn't seem to locate the thread by Josh on how to install the lever. I found one near me that I will hopefully be getting tomorrow that is from a Disco1.
