okay, home from work now.took my son 4 blocks down to corner store.just as i was parking, it stalled.no flashing m&s because i have charged battery and have good connections.waited about a minute and it started.drove home and it stalled as i pulled in my drive way.again no flashing m&s and no service engine soon light.
i was reading in my searches on this form that it might be a crank position sensor.it almost sounds like there is no fuel as i crank it over.
is there a check i can do to confirm this?or would a cps fault throw the ses light on?

what is the charge of the battery engine off?
what is the charging system giving when the truck is running at 2000 rpm??.
Check all of the fuses for corrosion and the starter connections and the alternator connections. do this with the battery disconnected

Does it start fine when its cold, and then die once it gets hot?
Will it not restart when its still hot?

If so, it very well could be your crank position sensor.
Its common for it to stall once it gets hot if you have a bad crank position sensor.
Codes will be the tell all though... get them if you can.

There is a little schrader valve on the fuel rail to test fuel pressure. Looks like a tire valve. Fuel should squirt out

When it dies, turn the key on (not start) and wait 5 seconds, turn it off and repeat 4 times. This will signal the pump to turn on and build pressure for starting. If it starts, I think you will need a new pump. You can get a gauge to verify fuel pressure before buying a new pump..

voltage with vehicle off is 12.3,running 14.2.
stalls when hot, started this morning when cold.
there are no warning lights on dash or ses light, no more m&s lights, assuming electrical system is good.
thanks

I'm gonna say crank position sensor. Sounds just like same the issue I had when mine went bad.
