Default Certified or not?

OK, I'm a newbie. I've decided on an '04 SE. I have 6 or 7 options here on the Colorado front range. All with from 40 to 60K, and all in reasonable condition. My big question is this; Is the "Certified LR Vehicle" program through the dealers worth it?

I think so. Most certified cars come with a factory warrenty. I wouldnt pay anymore than a extra $2,000 for a certified car though.

I think it is definite plus but some of the value depends on mileage and what the dealer had to invest in the vehicle to certify it. As an example I once bought a car with 61k miles on it and the dealer performed $3000 worth of 60k service but sold the car at a little under book value, which was a very good deal for me. Had the car been at say 55k miles, that service would not have been done, and that 5k miles would have cost me 3 grand down a short road. Getting a certified Disco with any reasonable warranty for market value is a huge plus over the private market in general IMHO.
