changed battery now mileage flashing

My alternator went bad, so it killed the battery, I replaced the alternator and battery and now the mileage flashes on the dash along with whatever gear is selected.
Anything I can do too stop it flashing

You need to have the cluster re synced with the BECM.

Autologic or the dealer can do it. Maybe some other tools but not sure.

Could it be just ground or bad connection? I remember having an issue with M+S then the gear selection was flashing as well and was faulty ground. But, not the miles. Just a thought
