Default Changed Plugs, SES light comes on

Just Changed the plugs in my DII to Bosch Plat 2's. When I started it up, The SERVICE ENGINE SOON light came on. I did have an issue with one of the wires, it separated from the boot. Got that fixed. I don't hear any missing cylinders and I don't have a scanner. Any thoughts?

What a useful response! Gee, I never would have thought of that.

Just as useful as saying the service engine light came on.
Get a scanner, seriously. Then post the error codes. Without codes you may as well be farting in the wind.

Or...just drive it. If it straightened out, a cylinder misfire WILL clear itself after a time. I'm not sure how much time or what driving cycle, but it shouldn't be too long.

Yeah...you should grab a scanner when you see one on sale. Or stop by a parts place that will scan for free just to be sure. But if it was that obvious and you fixed it, it will just go away.

A friend had a scanner that read a #7 cylinder misfire. He is a mech with rover experience, he could not detect a misfire, cleared the code and we shall see what happens. Ecentric behavior in a D2?? Never heard of it

How old are your plug wires?
