i was hoping someone could let me know some things to check or parts to change before having it looked at...
i read a couple of other posts and im hoping it could be the gas cap. i looked and sure enough it wasn't on right

never mind ill goto auto zone and get codes first thanks for your help

 

Autozone will be no help to you with a '95. There is a box beneath the right seat with a two digit display. Read the code there.

 

AutoZone cannot read the trouble codes on a 1995, OBDII didnt come out until 1996.

 

thank you for the reply as for the box i think ive found it it says rAnge rover on board diagnostic display it has a sticker with a bar code but no 2 digit # that i can find also under there is a relay and another heat finned box do you need to remove it or have the car on to get the #
