Default Check your throttle body heater hose connections!

I did my head gaskets / timing chain / cam / etc. job about 500 miles ago, and the truck has been running fantastic. Saturday night, about 5 miles from home, my Ultragage coolant alarm goes off. Before I could exit the roadway and get parked safely, the temp spiked to 265 degrees. After checking, I found one of the hoses that connects to the throttle body heater had popped off, and I lost about 1.5 gallons of coolant. I think if I had forgotten to tighten it, it would have come loose much sooner, so if you have screw type clamps on these. lift your hoods and give them an extra turn right now! There's not much of a barb on the tubes these hoses slip onto.

Once cool, I re-attached the hose, filled and bled the system, and eveything seems fine. Hopefully no permanent damage was done.

265 will toast the glue used to secure your sleeves, keep a close eye on it for a while to make sure no damage was done.
