Default Churping sound on my 01 Disco?

Got an 01 Disco with 158k. Makes a churping sound on and off. Sounds like it's coming from underneath the engine. Also, when you get up to speed the whole vehicle starts to vibrate slightly. Let off the gas and it goes away. One other thing, when you put it in reverse it sounds just like you're running over a walnut. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sparky

STOP DRIVING THIS TRUCK RIGHT NOW, PARK IT AND HAVE TI TOWED IF YOU ARE NOT AT HOME!!!!!

Your front driveshaft is about to break and when it does you WILL be buying a new transmission.
Go to the write up section and start reading on driveshafts and how to rebuild them.

Thanks Spike, I've had the middle drive shaft worked on before and had all new universal joints put in. Is there any other advice after me telling you that?

yes , listen to spike....It's probably your centering ball or it was not worked on or greased correctly. I just pulled mine as it was like a crow on steroids....It is definatly your drive shaft as when i pulled mine and locked out the front...there was no more chirping. Consider you just dodged a bullet...

Oh, and you have a front and a back drive shaft.....
