Clarification on Hayden Fan Clutches (2003 Disco)
So let's recap.
Think about the Facebook genius who wrote what you cited.
Many on this forum have advised this setup for YEARS.
Any reports of the fan exploding? None.
Fans "exploding" are more often due to water pumps coming apart, not the fan itself.
So why would you even ask about something you read on Facebook after posting there, for God knows what reason, instead of relying on the known-good advice of time-proven people here who give of their time to help?
Think about it.

Well you certainly deserve a reply. Did not mean to trigger anyone. Actually have not been on here for awhile. Done a ton of work on my D2 until the recent head gasket repair from a friend. A link on the Hayden mod brought me back to the Forum. No disrespect whatsoever to anyone on here. Indirectly it landed right where it belonged. Thanks for the information. Carry on.
edit: wrong name.
I've installed countless Dorman 620-112 blades & Hayden 2991 setups and I use it as well on all my D2's zero issues and works perfectly. I've tried to help on some of those LR FB groups, and it's a mad house/zoo of idiots a lot of the time. When I recommend a part or a method on fixing something I mean it 100% honest and true, absolutely no BS. I want to see our LR's on the roads for many many more years!
will the Hayden 2991 fan clutch mount onto the OEM fan? or is the dorman 620-112 fan a must?
found the answer on the discoweb forum....the OEM fan has a 6 1/2" mounting circle. the 2991 hayden one is just that. strangely
the heavy duty one is 7 1/2" so it won't fit.
