Is the harness plugged into the back of it?

If none of that works, it's a pretty pricey part new, but I've seen them go for as low as $35 used.

If it is not a fuse and the harness is plugged in, try Paul Grant, his number is in my signature section, he will have a great price on a used guaranted unit.

I think it's easiest to remove the radio, reach down from above and release the clips on each side of the climate control unit and push it out. Rave shows doing it a little different I think.

re: this doesnt have to do with grounding wired?

Go to the head of the class. If the ground wire from the HVAC control is loose, would do same thing. It is Pin 8 in the attached page - plug under dash. Rave electrical diagrams show you the color coded road map, electrical library shows you numbered connectors, like this one attached.
