Why's air still coming out of the vent when Climate Control is off?
When i have the Climate control completely turned off i notice that theres still air coming out of the vents. is this normal?
Yes it is normal. It is called "ram air", as you are moving down the road the air is being forced through the airducts by you moving forward.
If you have a DI you can turn the temp **** to HOT and as you drive you will get heat. Turning the HVAC controls off turns off the HVAC blower and the A/C compressor. It does NOT stop air from coming into the cabin. To stop outside air from entering the cabin your recirculate must be on, that is the button with the arrows in a circle touching on another, that, guess what, recirculates the cabin air. On really hot summer days turn that on with the A/C to "super cool" the cabin air.
If you turn that on when it is really muggy you will fog your windows.

ok makes sense... I wasnt worried about it much but was wondering what that was about. my a/c is really good in my 99 dII if i turn it down real low it gets pretty frigid in there!
I need to re-charge the A/C in my DI before it gets to hot. Our works right now but it has to work to hard to get cold. I didnt use it enough this last winter.
The Feds have a requirement that when the vent system is off a certain amount of air must still flow thru the passenger compartment.
I tried forever to fiqure out how to stop the air coming in until one day... When the unit is on push the circulation button for a couple seconds til it clicks then turn the unit off and you fixed the problem.
