Compression test results and plug photo.

Yep, the problem common to this engine finally hit me. Looking back, I think it has been failing for a while. It explains why my heater gurgles, why I can't seem to burp the air out of the cooling system, why my water pump failed catastrophically one day, why the o-rings on my overflow cap fail all the time, why my radiator started leaking, and why it occasionally overheated for no reason. When I blew out the spark plugs before removing them for the compression test there was a mist of water, and I realized it was coming from between the head and block on the left bank. I knew right then what the compression test would find, but I wanted hard numbers ( and bruised forearms! ). What amazes me is how well it ran after I filled the fuel tank and drove it 60 miles before other problems surfaced. I think my current issue is a bad cks. Still, I will wait for the elm327 to arrive, drive with it a day, then mothball the Landy until I rebuild it.
