Ah, I know, but I do have a Warn, recovery strap, gloves, ****** block. I'm a Warn guy on a Smittybilt budget 
I aspire to the Warn Powerplant XD with air, but until I have an extra $1300 laying around my XCR 10 will have to do.

That winch will be fine, just keep it above water. Smitty does have the same warranty as everyone else. So try to break it that first year and you will be fine. hehe
