I am calling around trying to get a price on an oil pressure test, don't have a shop because I try to do my own work, I am getting some outrageous prices, one guy told me it takes 3 hrs to do, I have not consulted the rave as of yet, anyone off the cuff have any advice?

Install an after market oil pressure gauge and then you don't need to worry about a test. You need to be watching the oil pressure religiously so I would highly recommend installing a gauge. Cost you about 150$ at the most.
