Default For the coolant experts

Anyone familiar with Chevron Phosphate Free Coolant? Was at a truck stop today and this caught my attention as I haven't heard of it. It's a purple color! Says it contains "A highly effective, heavy-duty corrosion inhibitor package that is phosphate free and contains nitrites and molybdates." Interestingly also mentions that "Product should be agitated before use if it has been standing for an extended period." Now, I'm not gonna flush my system and go purple just because it sounds like a great product, but I would like to hear from the "coolant experts" what they know about this product. OK Spike???

I know nothing about that coolant.
As long as it is aluminum safe you are fine.

Yes, it's aluminum safe. I think it's more for commercial vehicles since it has a service life of 250,000 miles and mentions protection for wet sleeve cylinder liners. But since most of us use Rotella oil, I thought maybe "commercial" coolant might be a benefit...

Like you said it is a coolant geared more towards heavy duty (diesel) applications but is suitable for gas engines too.
