I installed a new stock thermostat in my 2001 last summer and using the ODB port on my Garman Eco Route, my summer temps were around 204 degrees and I've notice my winter temps around 190-196. I think both of these numbers are great. I wouldn't want them any cooler.

Is that a genuine part? It's not listed as a part for DIIs.

Where are you seeing that on their site? Is the part number PEL500110?

evening gents, here is my weird coolant leak, which doesn't really leak. i have to charge my camera, but maybe i can explain. upper rad hose connects with some sort of T plug to another upper rad hose and a hose that goes downward toward the thermostat (?) anyway, that little T thing, it has a philips type of slot on the top and there is a spot of coolant there. haven't lost any, doesn't look to get more than that one spot. what the hell is that plug? also, this is for lr2001, what is the part number for the 180* thermostat from lucky 8? thanks all, trying to figure out this magnificent beast of a truck.

which does what? is it supposed to do that? just trying to figure out what this thing does and if it is supposed to do that. if there is a thread explaining this, then just point the way so there doesn't have to be a redundant post.

I always use a pair of needle nose vise grips when I swap the tstat. ZG your right man, that tstat varies to where you live, that is never said. Im in the south so its ideal for me. Hows the snow in VT? Your truck looks awesome by the way

thegreek that is used to get the air out of your coolant system. No it should not leak and if it is try to tighten it a little.
