Coolant Leak
Hey all,
I have a 2001 Disco II, and I have been having this coolant leak for quite some time, and its getting to the point where I am refilling the coolant tank every week. I finally did a pressure test and it seems like this is where the leak is coming from (see picture). It seems that it is cracked and its leaking. Does anyone know what this part is called? And if it's a hard job? I dont have much experience with cars, but I have worked on them and know how to put things back the way I took it apart.
Also, I am still concerned about the leak and i feel like the leak is coming from underneath, as opposed to above. There is a burning smell when i turn the car off, but not sure if thats anything to worry about. Anyway, I am going to try this and hope that it works, but i need to know the name of the part first.

It looks like a heart, has 3 hoses running to it and they are held on with a pinch type hose clamp. Welcome to the wonderful world of owing and working on your Rover! A garage wanted $165 to change it?
I use a big set of vice grips; anything with a wide enough mouth than can clamp down will do. It's a huge PITA to get them into the space, lock them on, and then try to manuever the snap ring without it springing back to life so it may be worth buying them.... I've never owned a set. Everytime I pull this hose off I keep forgetting to buy some normal hose clamps to replace them with. IMO I would get some regular hose clamps that you can undo with a screw driver.
