Default Coolant Return Line Break!!!

In the process of changing the spark plugs and wires out, I broke what appears to be a hard plastic fairly thin coolant return line. It runs from the drivers side of the engine (upper), to the degas coolant reservoir, and is attached by about 2 or 3 inch flexible coolant lines on each end. Do I have to use a stock replacement or is there something else I could use??? I was hoping to avoid a trip to the Land Rover dealership. Thanks in advance.

2002 Land Rover Discovery II, all stock.

Just get the one from the dealer. They don't cost that much. I would replace all plastic lines, if one broke they are all brittle.

Those cost $25 at the dealer not really what I would consider ridiculous for a part that will drop in without messing around.

Or get 9' of 5/16 heater hose from Napa and replace these two hoses, it's about $1 per foot.

Great. Thanks for all the advice. I went to an independent somewhat close to my house and got the stock replacement for 18 dollars. Went in fairly smoothly.

WARNING: be careful not to break the nipple it attaches to coming off the radiator. It is almost as brittle as the line itself and will cost u a new rad. good luck, i learned the hard way.

Default Now ABS, T/C, and HDC on.....

Everything is back together. Erased the codes, and everything is running great. Wife went to drive it yesterday and the three dash alarms went on including the ABS, T/C, and the HDC. Ran it for codes and it reads no codes. Any advice would be appreciated. 2002 Disco II, 75K miles.

You have just been visited by the "three amigos"...simply type into the search engine "three amigos" and you will have all the advice you will need. Check this sticky as well if your ABS Modulator needs to be re-built: https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=26847
