Coolant Squeeze Lock Clamps - Fail?
I also use the same spot on the hose, but my reason has always ben esthetics.
I think there is a clear reason why Land Rover uses these constant tension clamps on all of their vehicles.
When launching our coolant tank we sourced constant tension clamps as we feel they are better. But some of the feedback has been that DIY guys don't like them as you need a specific tool to use them easily.

Think I'll do the worm clamp on the thermostat area once it warms up a hair. Might add a drop of locktite to the threads as well. Can't hurt... Anyone in NYC have a super strong pair of clippers I can borrow to get these tension clamps off?
