Coolant System Bleed

Shout Out to ScreamingLife & primussucks.
I stripped the threads on the coolant bleed tee and didn't want to spend $100+ shipping on the entire hose assembly so, w/ the help of ScreamingLife and Primussucks I constructed this little beauty. I'm not thriled w/ the screw set-up, but at 9:00pm on a Thursday night, needing the truck back and running by morning, I made do. Plan is to switch the 1/4" brass screw out to something similar to the water line valve, to keep things clean while bleeding.
Stripped Threads, why the Fu%$ is this made of plastic? Horrible design.

The galvanized pipe nipples are not concaved at the ends. See the ends on the black plastic tee? Notice how the rubber hose could slip over it easily, but not slip off easily? Adding two bands assures the hose stays in place and not slip off the home brew tee's nipple.

Look at my pic. I just made sure that the union was over threads.teflon and One clamp... No problem. I happen to have a plumbing pipe threader, but u could just get short nipples.
But dual clamps are good insurance
