I've been running around like crazy trying to get everything ready for the fishing trip tomorrow. I got the D1 shifter installed and the I'm working on trying to figure out the best way to load up the roof rack and I'm stressing that I'm packing on to much weight. (I still have more straps to put on to help hold it.) I'm putting 150lbs of ice in the big chest, 60lbs of ice, food and drinks in the medium, then 125lbs water, 90lbs of gas, and another 100lbs of other crap. So total is around 525lbs. Does that sound to heavy?

Depending on how far up the beach you guys are planning on going, and if your are running a generator or something. You won't need extra fuel... We went 23 miles up and didn't see a sole.

Don't ask for Dusty on roof-weight advice. Look at 44 seconds in on this video, little bit of a "weightless" moment for old dusty

Do I get a royalty for providing the soothing knocking sound?

Well if you watch Dusty and hear the knocking and keep repeating "I think I can, I think I can"...then it all works out! Makes it a well orchestrated video at that point!
