Default a couple of questions... ugh..

Well, I have two question.

The first one was, that when I am driving on the highway, (speeds of 55 or more) whenever I press on the accelerator, I hear a high pitched noise. As I get faster, the noise gets higher; but it is only when I am pressing the accelerator.. ?? Any thoughts??

And the second thing is, I've noticed that after I've been driving a while, and I stop at a red light, the rear suspension "relaxes" alittle. I only notice it if I am looking through the rear view mirror, and then I litterally see the back go down. Is that normal?? I notice it with just me in the truck, as well as when I have passengers.

Thanks!! I appreciate all the input!

Both of you need to inspect you drive shafts. I had a u-joint going out and it made the same noise. But, Rovers have a gear driven X-fer case, so some whine is normal. If your front driveshaft does not have grease fittings, have it rebuilt immediately. If it goes, it will slap the tranny out.

Another thing I've noticed some is when I turn really sharp like into a parking space my brakes become quite hard to press with a little bit of a grinding noise, it doesn't seem normal. Has anyone heard of this happening?

Not sure what to say about your brakes, but the whine when pressing the accelerator sounds like a smallleak in the intake or vacuum system.

Do you do any of your own mechanical work, if so I would be glad to walk you thru a few of these issues.
