Cracked Bleed Screw
I cracked my bleed screw and replaced it with a metric screw. FYI, a fine threaded 10 MM screw works perfectly, but is there a reason the bleed screw is plastic and will this cause problems?
The key is to finger tighten the screw so that you do not blow the threads in the T piece, otherwise you will be shopping for a T piece as well. The bleed screw has a channel in the thread to allow air to escape when you bleed the system a regular screw does not - that's the only down side I can think of. The bleed screw also has an o ring, but you can slap the old o ring on your new screw.
