I have been reading a fair amount of guys looking for Discoverys for sale. Here in the extreme Southwest part of the US, the crop is ripe and harvest is plentiful. There is a very clean looking 99 Disco II with 98k loaded, dealer maintained, listed today on Craiglist for $5,199. Many others, that vintage and newer, for $8k to $12k. Virtually all of them are So Caltrucks that have never been offroad, in salt or snow. I don't know why anyone would buy a car from the Northeast or Mid-West with years of climatic abuse. Plus you can fly out and drive your baby home or ship it for $500 to $1,000. Anyway, if any of you are looking peruse the listings out here in So Cal, you can find some real gems (by the way, premium was $4.54 at Costco last night! Whew). All the best. Phil
