I have a friend who runs a auto supply shop and has the Tax ID# to get wholesale cost for me. This really helped me on tires years ago, but now I wonder where else this could benefit??

Safari Rack and ARB style Bull Guard.. I have a person who can build me both for about 800.00 and make them custom to my likes, or would it be cheaper to get them both at Wholesale pricing?? He can also build me rock sliders for the sides but he cant paint any of it so its on me to have them powdercoated or painted..

 

Depends on mark up of product, which is the profit margin the factory builds into the MSRP, and is sometimes 30 - 50%, depending on product; sales tax rate in your area, and the features of the product to install. Rover owners tend to be individualists, so I imagine that you would be more satisfied with custom work.

 

Normally most wholesalers won't work with a 1 time wholesale buyer who is not in that specific business so better plan on making your own.

 

I don't think you are going to beat $800 for both. You might be able to beat $800 each.

I think my 2003 style ARB was $800 (maybe it was $900) so the reseller is probably making SOMETHING off of it.
