So I finally finished the install. Definitely was harder than I had expected, mainly due to limited space and my inexperience with working on a Disco. Learned a lot on the way, and the seller of the conversion, Abran, was a big help, and went out of his way to give me help. Definitely recommend him and his product!

Found something interesting when I removed the old shift boot (replaced them with the vinyl boots everybody uses, nice upgrade)......seems a Podiatrist was involved in building my truck

 

Ha! I wonder if that was a replacement to begin with. Someone used some old leather to make the boots.

 

hehe....yeah, had to be salvaged leather. thanks for the idea. I need to upgrade last seasons evening wear, this will be a great project to salvage the old. "bring out the gimp boot"
