I want to replace my outer drivers door handle, works fine but bottom hinge is broke so you cant just grab and open. According to rave cd you have to remove the glass,regulator,lock mechanism,etc..

Has anyone done this? Does all that need to be removed? And lastly, can the lock cyl be switched over so I can use the same key?

 

You only have to remove the glass, regulator, etc if you are replacing the latch.(lots of fun!!) You can remove the handle by accessing it from inside the door. Don't know about swapping the lock cyl... I just used the key mine came with (bought it used)

Disconnected the linkages from the inside of the drivers door handle and took out the 1 Torx screw. Can't figure out what else is holding the handle in. Don't want too force it. Any ideas?

 

Just had to pry it a little harder to get it out! Bent the sheet metal a little bit, bent it back flat and installed handle.
