Default D2 dash removal

I’m looking to replace my tired, cracked, original dash with a nice replacement I picked up a while ago.

I’ve searched, but have not come across much info on removing the dash. Anyone here done this before?

I can most likely figure it out by looking at the replacement dash - just looking for some pointers/tips. Will most likely do the heater core while I have the dash out.

Thx!

Like most things on the D2, it's as simple as unscrewing layer after layer of parts - it's simple, no special tools required, it's just voluminous.

I find it easier to do with the front seats removed. They're super simple to take out and give you loads more room to work within.

Thanks! Just ordered a heater core. Maybe I'll start next weekend. I can't think of anything else I should replace while the dash is out.

Change your evaporator while you're back there.

Yep - did it this past weekend. Not too terrible. Rave - dash = facia. Proud to say the only thing that broke was a wire going to the ignition lock light.
