Do you mean nanocom? I'm not very familiar with its capabilities. What does that do that the cdp+ doesn't? I can mess with the engine, transmission and brakes with the cdp+.

 

Bcu settings, gauge cluster, security sync, remotes, etc.

And if you've got a td5 it will upload new fuel maps, if you've got a D2/Defender new enough to support that.

 

That's a bunch of stuff. Not sure I'd ever need all of that but still pretty cool.

 

I originally ordered the Autocom unit last year. Works great for the limited time I used it, but I ended up returning it to Amazon.

Subsequently, I ordered the Nancoom. It was around $400, but the additional BCU programming features (e.g., re-programming new key FOBs, turning on heated windshield, daytime running lights, etc) has been worth its price. Saves the time and money from having to take it to a dealer or LR shop.

My Disco 2 buddies have also benefited from using my unit.

I believe that FAULTMATE MSV-2 can do it for D2, at least with the factory ecm software, but I'm not sure if anyone sells custom maps.

A while back someone posted some bosch compatible software that he used on his Porsche that he said should work on the D2.
