D2 fuel line connetor?
Where can I buy the connector that locks on to the fuel rail at the back of the intake manifold? It fits into the rubber hose that comes from the gas tank.
I took the lower intake off last weekend. When I grabbed the connector to squeeze the sides and slide it off the metal line, it broke. As in snapped clean in the 90 degree bend. Old, cooked and brittle plastic.
Part of me can't help but wonder if I'de been better off if it broke when truck was running, and it burnt to the ground, lol.
I'm going to pull heads, and most likely block too.
Pin all 8 liners, crank, rod, cam bearings, ect.
Try to eliminate any more problems on this bastid.
I hate this thing, but man I sure love it.

I can't find the fuel hose/line to fuel rail connector anywhere.
Anyone know where to buy new? I don't see it on any of the LR parts sites parts diagrams I look at.

This is what I think you mean. Not sure that 5/16 is correct size, but may be. Try to measure the broken part.

just parted out my discovery II and have the twin plastic lines from the fuel rail on the intake and purge valve to the feed line above the charcoal canister by the right rear tire if you would like pictures of the lines I can take some.

I'm having an issue with a leaky quick connector. What did you end up doing to fix your problem?
I can find push connect fittings from NAPA that look like they would connect with the fuel rail but I'm not sure how to install it into the old hose. It looks like the old hose is semi-rigid with a rubber sleeve. I'm not sure.
Did you replace the whole line or just the end fitting? If so, how did you join the connector and the fuel line?

Removed the broken connector(plastic tube) from the original fuel hose(pulled it out with needle nose pliers), took the good connector out of the fuel hose on the used part, and the connector just pushes into the original fuel hose on the truck. Put a new clamp on, and it's done.
