Default D2 Starter Issue - No Crank

Truck would not start - no Crank at all.

Took out the Starter - Bench tested starter is fine - I got a new starter anyways replaced that - Still same.
12 Volt is on the Main red cable connect to the starter
No voltage on the small Yellow cable that triggers the starter - not getting power when crank

Before that checked Starter Fuse #23. Fuse is OK, swapped the Relay R9 with another. Retested again after new starter install still same. Fuse #23 now tests ground not 12v !!
Traced the wires - looks like my problem may started touching the harness on the exhaust - repaired the damage.

There has to be another Fuse or Relay that i am missing

Any help would be appreciated

Not understanding your last statement. "Fuse #23 being a ground now, not 12 volts. Yet, originally, when you first checked it...it was okay (12 volts).

Me, l'd be checking the trigger/ignition wire from ignition switch. Also, are you sure you swapped out a relay that matches starter relay? Something just sounds whacky, to go from okay, 12 volts, to ground.

Sorry for not being clear - I did not test the Fuse #23 before just checked the fuse. With power probe now #23 Fuse test Ground not 12 Volt. I think my original problem started with the Trigger wire (Yellow/Orange) was touching the exhaust - repaired that.
Question - is the are there other Fuses? how many relays connected with Starter?

I need to look at the schematic - I am sure someone have had the same issue.

Thanks for your response. yes this is Whacky

Test the female terminals at the relay - check the Rave for the diagram. If it checks out, jumper the terminals.

I was able to figure out one of the fuses FL13 (Lighting switch) was out. Not sure why that is related to Starter. But that fixed the weird problem. I ended up replacing the starter, repair harness. Thanks for the help

We've ran into this before here. Where FL12, for starter relay...actually ended up being FL13.
