There was visible rust in one of the holes so I asked the dealer to check it out (under warranty). They said there is corrosion and one of the pins is not working. But since it is water damage it's not covered under warranty.

I took 3 screws out and removed the entire piece to attempt cleaning...but it was full of water and the terminals are very rusted.

Is there someone else up the warranty chain who can approve replacing the part?
