Default death shake

So i had/ have the death shake and i removed a few shims to fix the problem till the week end. Would this part fix the problem or is it bigger problem than this.

Is the top pin worn badly?
Is the thrust bearing bad?

Most often, just inspecting and re-shimming resolves the problem. (ASSuming it's mechanically sound)

When you removed shims, did you put a jack under the bottom until you re-torqued the top?

How'd you determine the preload?

The upper pin rarely gets worn, it's steel in a brass/bronze bushing. It's usually either the lower bearing or upper bushing

re-shimmed it about 2 months and it went away and it started back this week so i assume its time to replace some parts.
