Where are you located? Maybe a member near you has a tool and can reset your system?

[QUOTEThe shop said they charged the battery and the battery test showed up good. The weird part is that if you plug in the scanner, you will not get a connection, and that is what I haven't seen many people relate to this issue. ][/QUOTE]

I'm not real sure on a Rover, but I've seen a couple of American made cars with this issue, and both times it was a blown fuse. Usually on the same circuit as the cig lighter.

This mechanic has gone through all the fuses and so have I am not sure if having a bad cig lighter fuse would have all these issues. I can check, but if so, that is a very poorly built system. If you plug in your phone to charge and something shorts than you whole vehicle become inoperable.

I was hoping that if I put in a new ECU it would either start or show some condition that will either prove or disprove the fact that there is an issue with the old ECU.

I could probably make a killing stripping the truck as everything is pretty much new.

It's cranking like a charm, but no spark, doesn't turn over, no ecu connection, M & S Lights and flashing D, and we have been through the wiring and fuses over and over.

I keep running back to the shop to check each suggestion here, and I think they are sick of me by now running back in a recheck a fuse that was check by a bunch of different people.

I wonder if anyone local needs a new truck that only needs to figure which fuse is bad.

Actually, if I can get it started I may drive it off a cliff and see how much money I can bring in with a viral youtube video.

Or if I charge 35 guys $100 each to use it as a shooting target for sniper training, I will come out ahead, and everyone will have fun.

In the event that this "new" ECU works, what do I have to do through to get it working.

Will the truck at least start?

Have you swaped out the crank position sensor? Might be worth a shot.

Good luck.
