Desperate for help
ECU has to be synced with BECM. I have helped 2 local mechanics do this, both cases they narrowed the issue down to faulty pins on ECU giving/receiving bad info from O2 sensors, rovers still ran though.
Bought used ECU to swap in and ended up with a car that wouldn't start. I used my Autologic to sync them.

I bought a used ECU and it was installed today and the truck started for a minute and then shut off.
So as most people say, it needs to be synced, or the VIN needs to be changed or what not.
Is this something that is easily done? Are there any ways around this? Does the computer have to be in the truck to reprogram it?
I have the truck sitting in a shop now and after spending a fortune working everything out. I just want to now get this programmed.
I would even pay for someone local to me to come to the shop and reprogram it so I can just get it going.
You guys have been so awesome, but this has been an absolute nightmare for me.
Thanks everyone.

You could send your new ECU, and old BCU to someone with a D2 and the correct computer and they could probably help you out. I should buy an old D2 just so I can do this, I've got a suitable computer.
Did it run for a whole one minute ? Or was it few seconds ?
This is normal for a ECM/BCU sync issue. From Rave, "However, if the ECM has an invalid BCU security code the engine will crank, start, and then immediately stall."
