Yes, when off roading or deep snow or ice covered roads.
I dont know where you live but at Christmas time we go up north to ******* MI to my mom's and take the kids sledding on the snowmobile trails.
You should see the looks on the snowmobilers faces when they encounter a SUV in the middle of the woods with 4ft of snow on the ground!
Anyway...we drove the 180 miles home one year with the CDL (center diff lock) locked in hi because it was a blizzard and the roads were snow and ice covered the whole way home.
We were passing almost everybody and when we did get home the truck was sitting 6" lower to the ground because of all the extra weight from the ice and snow on everything, wish I had taken a picture, it looked like something out of a disaster movie.

LOL that sounds cool as hell..Can't wait to do stuff like that..We don't get that much snow where i am (Northern Jersey), but some years it gets heavy..
We had 108" of snow last year here in Grand Rapids.
But where my mother's cottage is is 3 hours north of here, they get almost double the snow that we do.
They get so much snow that if they dont shovel their roof once a week it will buckle and start to leak.
