Default Differences in brakes 99-02 vs 03-04

I was reading some old road test and they mentioned brake upgrades in 03, having owned several I have never noticed that there are part number differences. Does anyone know what the differences were?

I just read a bunch of brake booster part numbers this morning, as there is one in the classifieds I want to buy(waiting on seller response now).
Brake boosters are listed as 99-02, and 03-04.
Yet clicking on either, and different brands and sites, the descriptions say 99-04 for all.
Makes no sense, but, since it's a Land Rover...I guess that makes perfect sense.

The SLABS unit from the later trucks has different programming than the one in the early trucks. For one, they recognise the CDL correctly, but I've also noticed different brake performance and ABS sensitivity since changing mine.

I think the latter models front brake calipers had slightly bigger pistons?
Maybe the rear as well?

Caliper brands changed over the years 99-04, but as far as fit/function there is zero difference in the brake system from 99-02 & 03-04. SLABS programming was updated for CDL, and to be less sensitive at setting the 3 amigo's or triggering faults along with better TC/ABS function. Rotors, & pads are the same, E brake is the same, and they may list different P/N's but I have installed parts from across the entire D2 year range onto old or newer D2's with zero issues.

It's just like my brothers 92 RRC SWB. His fuel pump went out and Lucky8 list the pump for 110.00. However, if you looked up a 94-95 D1 fuel pump it was 56.00 and was the same identical unit. My brother grabbed the 56.00 unit vs 110.00 unit and his RRC is back on the road with zero issues.

LR can list a totally different part # for something for either a revision change, or a slight variant like an option bracket or mount that can be transferred from the old part to the new part of vise versa.

LR D2 Coil Pack P/N's are different vs a 98 Kia Sportage due the bracket and the number of coils. Part wise the Coil Pack is the exact same thing.

I knew about the slabs, but was curious about the other parts. I have had about 9 Disco's but never noticed any physical differences either.
