Default Ding Ding Ding after suspension conversion....

Guys,

Suspension conversion done, unplugged relay and fuse for the air ride, pulled plugs from the compressor, now when I drive over 1- mph I get an annoying ding-ding-ding the entire time I drive. Hoping there is something easy I'm overlooking...

See attached for one thing that can cause the three dings - SLS paragraph

Also, from electrical manual:

The SLABS ECU provides outputs and receives inputs to/from the BCU on connectors
C0655 and C0504 as follows:
An output is passed from SLABS ECU pin C0655-7 to BCU pin C0660-10 on a WK
wire. This output enables the SLS audible warning.
An input is received from BCU pin C0660-12 to SLABS ECU C0655-12 on a WU wire.
This input is the SLS raise/lower command from the remote handset.

The BCU is making the ding, based on a command from the SLABS. Best fix is have ECU and SLABS re-programmed by shop for coil suspension.

Usually what you have done will stop the Ding, since it hasn't, the only other option is to have a shop turn off the SLS thru the ECU.

This is very common.

It is necessary to reconfigure both the ABS ECU and the BCU for coil suspension.

Only doing one or the other will result in this occurring.

I prefer to not butcher the wiring of the truck and much prefer to do it via software.

Thanks guys - I figured as much, but thought I could buy some time until I had a chance to drive to the Rover indy shop to get it done. Just trying to avoid the battery drain in the meantime...thanks for the info.

Unplug everything under the truck adn your battery drain might go away.
