I remember you saying that a while back. Screw what his guy at Meineke thinks. Since the drive shaft is new, unless the company that made it did a crap job, or it lost its balance weight, I really don't think that is the issue. Take it to a tire shop and just tell them you want a rotate and balance. I think the going rate is about $40 around here.
If it has been more than 10k miles since you have had them checked for balance, chances are they are out of balance anyway as these wheels (or at least mine) like to throw weights.

Seriously. Balance your tires. Mine was shaking so bad, I was afraid to go over 50MPH on the highway. As soon as I got home, I checked the drive shaft to make sure something hadn't gone wrong with it, then balanced my tires. Smooth as silk after that.

Alright I will give that a try, would hate to blow something out in the Rover with these cheap gas prices

Before they balance the tires ensure they clean any stones or debris out of the tire treads first. I heard of some drongo who balanced some wheels with stones in them. Of course the owner drove down the road and the stones flew out and the wheels were out of balance immediately. Some tire fitting stations certainly ain't brain surgeons and that's for sure.

I may be too late to be of any help and this may be bad advice, but I had the same problem with a new driveshaft (front) when I called the shop they were amazed that the shaft could have a problem since it was brand new. I sent it back and they called me...

When I took the shaft out of the box from UPS, I lost hold on one end and the shift came apart. I put it back together. No problem... Except I threw the balance and alignment of the joints completely off.

Live and learn for me. I thought I had put it back together perfectly. Not so much.

So the problem has returned, tho this time rattling/shaking as low as 40mph.

Figured it was a balancing, took it to STS guy claims he balanced front tires, but noticed my front left tire rod was broken.

Didn't charge me, just gave me a quote.

Kinda feel like he is misdiagnosing the problem, though I don't doubt the tire rod is broken. Rover has been swaying a bit recently.

Anyone?
