If all you are worried about is the air suspension and oil pumps get the LR3 with the V6.
The LR3 V6 is the exact same engine as the Ford Explorer, the air ride, when it does fail, can be replaced with 4 coil springs.
As for the electronics, you are screwed.
And yes, the oil pump problem carried over into the '04's.
