Default Same problem here!

I too have the same problem on my 2000 DII, has anyone found a solution to this?? from the number of similar complaints, it seems to be a common problem.

Do I need special equipment to mess with the BCU?

You do need a special computer to look at the BCU.

On a related note... my 99 just did something funny tonight... the interior lights wouldn't come on when opening any of the doors.... even though 5 minutes earlier they were working just fine. They would come on with the switch on the light. Turns out, the ignition switch didn't think I had pulled the key out all the way. I got in it, started it up, and when I pulled the key out I hear it go CLUNK and then the interior lights came on. Now they are working fine.

I was fiddling with the rear dome light and shorted the wires. fob stopped working. it blew Fuse 20 in the cab (blue 15a). Replace the fuse, good to go.

Ok. tried all methods here, no luck. ALL fuses are good must be some other thing. Keyfob and interior lights still not working, may just have to trace the wires till I get the fault.

Probably fried the receiver. It's in the front of the rear sunroof underneath the headliner.

when testing note that it needs to be bolted in place to work. Good luck

Dragging this thread back up, but I just had this same issue. Was messing around with putting an led light in the rear dome light, it sparked and the interior lights stopped working, along with the key fob, clock time, temperature on the climate control reset to celsius, and my scangauge II stopped working. Fuse 20 had blown; replacing it fixed everything.
