Glad the info helped!

I did the spare as well, so mine is all 26mm now, but it is a good call out for anyone else who reads this later. Easy to overlook until you are stuck on the trail in the dark!

I am not super concerned about the shop rounding them off. In fact, my experience locally is to be more concerned they will use my socket and then forget to put it back. I have lost more than one anti-theft socket for my other cars that way.

I removed my chrome caps by running a longer M14x1.5 bolt into the wheel nut and driving it with an impact gun. It was very quick. I followed a video that someone had posted (I think on this forum).

I saw that video and thought it looked really easy. Ended up with three lugs that had a 14mm hole in the cap. Not saying it won't work fine for others, but it didn't work for me.

I did 25 nuts and they all came off as planned.
