So it wont unlock? Try the key in the door to unlock it.
I am betting that the lock acuator is bad.

Just thought of something else to try. Disconnect the battery, if the door actuator doesnt have power it wont try to lock the door.

won't removing battery power kill the radio code?

There is not a key slot on the passenger door? I can try the battery disconnect but will it kill the radio?

You have the code for the radio dont you? But yes disconnecting the battery will "unplug" the radio and you will have to put in the code.
If you dont have the code the dealer can get it for you. I guess its just how bad do you want to open the pass door?

if its the right front.
if you can't open the door from the inside door handle and
the handle cable in not broken you need a door latch assembly.
right rear might be a child lock issue with the outside door handle not working.

I think there is a return spring on the lock mechanism that looses its juice.... My pass rear door is the same way and the front has done it a couple of times now. I don't think it is the actuator because the lock comes up and goes down fine, just doesn't release the lock to open the door. I too feel the little almost catch of the handle. If I hold the lock up, it will go ahead and open. I am probably tackling this over the weekend. I'll let you know what I find....
