Default Disco II ran out of gas (fuel)

Computer stated 25 more miles. Died.
Wait for it - I had a can with about a gallon. After fiddle ****ing with the pinky sized hole for filling, about a gallon added.
Start? Forget about it.
Had to call my buddy with a Bimmer. Added another gallon or 0.5. Started.
Lame.
FYI.

I miss carbs and chokes.

These tend to consume a lot of gas.

One way to feel better is just NOT to fill up the tank.
Just don't buy gas.

But then it runs out of fuel.

And worse - is your fuel pump is gulping air and getting ruined as fuel
is used to cool off the pump and to lube it.

Gas is going up because lots of gas at the refineries in the gulf is getting shipped off shore now.

Others in foreign countries will pay for for gas than we do.
So, fill up your tank - create demand.

Mine seems to have the opposite. After I fill it up with a tank of gas, it runs really rough and idles really low. Then after a I drive a little bit, the rough idle goes away and there is a delay when taking off. I press the gas and it doesn't respond for a couple of seconds. I am assuming they are both caused by the same problem but it might just be a coincidence.
