Disco II - replace abs module - Los Tres Amigos 'final solution'?
Some argue that if you are going to the trouble of pulling out the shuttle valve switches you should go ahead and replace them and also replace the shuttle valve seals with the improved ones sold by Falconworks. The argument is that the switches and seals are likely to fail so just do everything while you have the modulator torn apart.
I understand that argument but I am a tightwad. My truck wasn't a daily driver when I did the Option B mod so I elected to take it apart and test and inspect the switches and seals, thinking that I could afford to have the truck out of commission for a week if a problem with the switches or seals was identified.
The switches passed the resistance test and there was absolutely no evidence of brake fluid having leaked by the seals. I rolled the dice and put everything back together doing the Option B bypass only. Next month will be five years with no repeat appearance by The Boys from South of the Border. If only I were so lucky gambling with Powerball.
