How hot are we talking about? My 03 runs about a notch above the center line.

Does it get hotter than normal when idling, or only under a load (driving)?

Did you notice any smells? Coolant perhaps?
I am having the same problem with my 2000 Discovery 2 ... running a bit warmer than usual, a notch above the 3 o'clock position. It stayed the same with the A/C and heater on. I ordered a lower temperature thermostat after running all the tests and bleeding the system twice. Any other suggestions ?
Also there are no leaks of any kind.

If you do a bit more reading on this forum you will learn that the dash gauge is almost useless. There are literally dozens of threads on how to address overheating issues including flushing the system and changing the coolant, along with getting an an accurate readout device.
